getitdigital review Canon T1i (500d) vs. Nikon D5000 Hands On Comparison test Part 2

getitdigital review: This is a hands on comparison of two of the most popular, consumer level Digital SLR cameras available. They are so well know in fact that they require almost no introduction. With the Canon T1i (500D) producing 15.1 megapixel shots and the Nikon D5000 12.3, these cameras stack up fairly evenly and with the HD video capabilities thrown in for good measure, the comparison was irresistible! 1. Visualy this is an AWESOME clip, but i can’t understand why you don’t get a better microphone. The audio quality makes it really really unproffesional like.
Keep on making clips with same visual quality but pleeeease buy i microphone that you attach to your shirt or somethig etc.

  2. sushi – you’re right, our bad – Will misspoke. People would love a firmware update for the T1i to bring the 1080 video up to normal frame rates. Do keep in mind though that for most outputs (web especially) 720 p is plenty big.

  3. T1i record 1080p at 50-60 FPS? i thought it was 1080p at 20fps and 720p is 30fps. Unless they did a firmware update, which i don’t know of.

  4. Yes, but did you like the comparison and find it helpful? BTW we are using a mic from Blue now so that issue has been repaired :) . Happy shooting!

  5. He has enough money to buy 2 DSLRS but cant afford a decent microphone…. xD
