  1. Hi, have you come across “MagicSFXphoto” (just google it)? On their website you can watch a useful free video featuring the right way to take better pictures. This helped Joe to make photographs which leave you with a wow-effect while you take a look at them. It might help you as well.

  2. I like the ergonomics, Low noise, FF, and everything about the D700. However, it totally exceeds my budget. What do u guys think if I just get a D7000+18-105mm lens?

“This is a fantastic camera. Nikon’s SLRs are pretty good in general, but I am very impressed by how good this one is. I took several great pictures of the recent lunar eclipse using this and I was blown away with how they turned out. Anyways, this is more of a review of the kit. Cameta Camera shipped the product fast and the packaging …”

  6. Another question – You said in this video that the Sigma 17-50 “beats out the Nikon version” – do you mean it is better than the Nikon version all round, or just better in terms of IQ? Thanks!

  7. I’m surprised you chose DX over FX. I understand what you’re saying about new DX lenses like the Sigma 17-50 2.8, but I was under the impression that the benefits of FX over DX are so significant that no-one would choose DX over FX if money was not an object. For example, isn’t FX amazing for low light and high ISO work because of low noise? Thanks – looking forward to a reply :O)

  8. After a lot of research and watching your feedback and the reason why Tom Hogan disregarded the D7000, I will be bringing on the D7000 on board… Very excited. Thanks Matt for your summarised videos. Cheers

  9. after one hundred and fifty five thousand exposures and working five days a week for two years my D700 fell to pieces in my hands.

my back up camera a D2Xs has three hundred and forty two thousand exposures and does not have a mark on it, the sonuvabitch is still shooting as well as the day I bought it in 2006.

  12. I tried the D90 for church events, NICE. I needed something a little more pro for wedding! The D7000 replaced the 90, has more features and take sharp pics in low light situations. Landscape photos are nice and neat, also. Love my D7000 and the price is worth the investment.

  13. Hi to the Nikon man, do you know that all those latest Nikon models has Sony’s electronic brains inside? Nikon is a nice name since early 1960′s however.

  14. Loving your videos. i currently have the D7000, The Sigma 17-50 2.8, Sigma 70-200 2.8 EX OS and 2x APO TC, Nikkor 50MM 1.8 D and the Sigma EF-610 DG Super flash. I upgraded from the D5000 with just the kit lens and man what a difference, particularly in image quality and simple responsiveness of the camera. I am currently looking at wide zooms and it is between the Tokina and the Sigma. The 2.8 is appealing (to match the other two lens) and so is the extra 3mm. Just not sure which way to go.

  15. i think the one thing that put alot of people off of the d7000 or dx cameras is when they search for images taken with that camera, most pro’s wont really use a dx as a main cam so we dnt ever get to see it’s full potential… the pics we do find are usually taken by novices and thats what put alot of people off… you can make amazing images with nearly any dslr out today but d7000 is defo a nice camera for the next 3 years
