  1. In the price range, Sony is always better than Canon or Nikon. Just look at the Sony A77. Revolutionary device. And what do you mean Sony doesn’t have good lens’? Only Sony users can purchase Zeiss lens’ with autofocus. You guys are morons.

  2. The cheaper cameras nowadays use the superior global shutter, which makes the footage look like it was shot with a CCD.

  3. Any comparison of CCD vs. CMOS should include a discussion of the rolling shutter effect.

  4. all they need to know is if they are going to use it for video and are gonna have any movement of the camera itself then get a ccd. cmos sensors still have way too much shutter roll for video unless its not moved or they can move it really slowly.

  5. most video camera’s use a CMOS sensor, so there’s not much we could do about that, even the Red Epics use CMOS. most still cameras, ones made for taking still images, use CCD, some use CMOS.

  6. lol check this “CMOS Vs CCD Rolling Shutter Effect + Jello Effect Kawasaki ZX-11″

  7. any DSLR not too expensive and doesn’t have jello effect while shooting VIDEO…??
